Group Membership

As a Group, an organization or society who support individuals with Down Syndrome and their families, you will receive access to the same information and services as above PLUS we will supply you with:

  • Workshop (like how to hire a person with Down Syndrome)
  • A vote at the Annual General Meeting

Corporate Membership

A partnership with a company, who value raising awareness, developing knowledge and lifetime support for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families.

FUNDRAISING:

Canuck Place and the
Lower Mainland Down Syndrome Society
Hockey Pool

Canuck Place and the Lower Mainland Down Syndrome Society are raising funds to help support the kids.

The Lower Mainland Down Syndrome Society is pleased to be part of this joint fundraiser with Canuck Place, and to be able to help so many children that are in need of services, and support.

To participate just contact the LMDSS office for a copy of the hockey pool sheet, then you just need to:

  1. Fill in all the contact information at the top right hand side of the page.
  2. Select only one player for each box.
  3. Send in your completed document to the LMDSS office (email,fax,or by mail), along with your payment of $30.00 (Cheques, E-Transfer,or cash), and then watch your inbox each week for your score.

On April 4th, 2020 the person with the highest points will be contacted to receive their cash prize and trophy.

Odds of winning 1 in 200

Dance Classes( LMDSS Program)

LMDSS Members $25.00 for 12 weeks / Non-members $50.00 for 12 weeks
(This program is subsidized by LMDSS)

Students to bring water bottle, and wear comfortable clothes (No Jeans).

If student requires support person, please provide.

All children that are 10 years and under who are interested in taking dance classes, please contact the LMDSS office at 604-591-2722 to be added to our list of students.

 

One to One Reading,Math,and Money Skill Classes:

Date: April 1st to June 25th, 2020
Days: Monday’s,Tuesdays and Thursdays Classes available
Times: 3:20 p.m. – 4:20 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. – 5:20 p.m. and  5:20 p.m. – 6:20 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. -7:20 p.m.

Non-Members : $20.00 per 1 hour session
