*note: Membership fees for new members will be prorated based on when you join. Annual renewal for membership fees takes place annually on February 1st.

When you become a individual or family member of the Lower Mainland Down Syndrome Society, you not only join our community, but you also gain access to:

  • Attend school presentations and IEP meetings with parents and educators to help set up educational programs for students
  • Provide information and resources for local college and university students (medical, dental, and healthcare) to help students understand the medical issue faced by families and individuals
  • Provided ongoing support to the Youth Group, Adult Group and Parent Networking Support Groups.
  • Expand the number of Parent Networking Support groups in B.C.
  • Expand our Outreach parent committee to serve more homes, and hospital visits

As a Group, an organization or society who support individuals with Down Syndrome and their families, you will receive access to the same information and services as above PLUS we will supply you with:

  • Educational resources
  • Event planning and awareness program assistance
  • Fundraising items (awareness bracelets)
  • Workshop (like how to hire a person with Down Syndrome)
  • A vote at the Annual General Meeting

A partnership with a company, who value raising awareness, developing knowledge and lifetime support for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families.
